Alvento Winery Baco Noir Red Dry VQA 750ml

Go where your inspiration takes you. <br>Go with the wind.<br>This approachable and balanced Baco Noir is dominated by berry and cherry aromas and flavors. <br>Expect layers of fruit, vanilla and spice on a soft palate that develops into a long and rich finish.

Food Pairing: pasta bolognese, rich steaks with horseradish<br>Winemaker’s notes: Cabernet Sauvignon that was dried to achieve concentration of sugars and tannins, was fermented warm and aged for 24 months in new and used French oak, was blended with Cabernet Franc, fermented at warm temperatures with a 32 day maceration and 16 months of ageing in new and used French and American oak was blended to achieve this intense and powerful red.<br>Tasting Notes: A blend made from conventional and appassimento wines. Complex and intense aromas of cassis, mint, dried cherry, fig, spice, and mocha. Full-bodied with youthful tannins, berry and spice flavours, and long complex finish.

Food Pairing: Filet Mignon, Lamb<br>Winemaker’s Notes: The sublime fruit for this wine was hand harvested and gently destemmed to stainless steel tanks for fermentation. Inoculation with selected yeast strains and a warm fermentation with a total maceration of 28 days created a well structured base. <br>Following fermentation and maceration the wine was pressed and placed in 100% French barriques for 19 months yielding a rich, concentrated structured and complex wine.<br>Tasting Notes: Plum, black cherry, leather, and spice aromas and flavors are supported on a well-structured palate that leads to a long complex finish.
